If there is going to be a boring day on three straight Alpine stages, it's likely to be the first.
La Rosiere is the stage I've been most looking forward to for the 2018 Tour. It's the first time they've ever finished there, and the course is set up for some great racing. The two big climbs on the last mountain (9.2% and 9.1% grade) comes with 8 and 5 km to go, then it finishes at about a 5% grade the rest of the way. If someone can get free, they can open up a pretty big gap over those last 3-4 km.
