If the clutch is not engaging,it is because it is being told not to or a problem with the clutch such as clutch gap too large or open coil winding.
If you have a good meter, you can carefully check if the clutch is getting voltage or not. Reasons for not getting voltage are many. Bad relay, bad pressure switch, pressure too low, loose wire, had computer, loose ground.
Being that it works in the cool morning but not in the hot afternoon kind of points to a pressure problem.

Iirc the pressure needs to be as close to 40 as possible?
