Copper Mountain vs Breckenridge, CO

Does anyone know anything about Copper Mountain?
I have a previous post about Breckenridge but I was given a suggestion about Copper Mountain. It is indeed cheaper. How are the slopes?

I went with a group to BR one year in college and we drove to CM every day to hit the slopes for some reason. I would imagine BR having more places to eat than CM though.

My brother worked at Copper Mountain about 20 years ago (he lived in Dillon). When I would go to visit, I loved both it and Breckenridge. I preferred Copper...it was cheaper and less hassle. The slopes were great.

Copper has longer runs, more for the intermediate/blue skier. Those long blues are fun to play around on if it's not a powder day.
Breck is more for either the beginner staying down low or really good skier/rider staying higher up above treeline where it's steeper.

Copper is nice, especially if you are a novice or expert skier - the way the group the slopes makes it easy to not get thrown in with someone not of the same level.
there isn't near as much to do in Copper vs. breck regarding night life. Food options are less.
Breck is also a much bigger mountain, and it is easy to get to keystone from breck. SKi school is better at breck too, or supposedly I haven't done ski school in like 15 years. eta: I am a terrible skier.

The difference in pricing is partly due to the fact that Vail Resorts owns Brekenridge and Copper is owned by Powdr Corp.
Copper has great terrain and quick lift lines midweek.
ETA: Friends and I rented a house in Breckenridge for a week this past March. We rode Breckenridge this first day then drove to Copper. We spent the rest of our time at Copper and drove daily from Breckenridge.

Less crowded
Free snowcat skiing
Naturally divided terrain
Easier to get to (straight shot on I70)
30 minutes to Vail, Breck, Keystone
I believe it’s an ideal location for a ski resort. You won’t be disappointed

You can stay in Frisco and do both. Consider winter park also. WP has ski in ski out for 125 a night, and you can buy 4 pack for 170, so ski for 45 a day
