LSU commit Kardell Thomas is Mr. Pancake. He's the most dominant lineman in high school football. Kardell will throw you to the ground and yell "I own you." The true definition of a dog on the field, Kardell's offseason highlights are INSANE!

He's obviously skilled but I like his intensity more than anything. I'm a fan of a big, mean, dirty O-lineman. 1 or 2 like him can set the tone for the whole offense.

The asset that separates "good" offensive linemen from "GREAT" offensive linemen is attitude! Kardell has that "IT" factor. He will be special.

Thomas is the best interior OL I've seen at a camp in at least 5 years.

When younger, we had a kid we coached in Jr High, MEANEST F_CKER I've ever met, Literally watching them play, and holding the chains, we'd watch kids crying on the SIDELINES because held NO MERCY to any of them
But once he got in front of REAL TALENT....
He was average....
I hope I am wrong, BECAUSE I WANT THIS KID DO BE AS GOOD AS THE HYPE... LOVEEEE MEAN LINEMAN...
But I think he should CONTINUE TO OWN EVERYONE, but zipit

You were watching that kid play in season games. You get a lot of bad competition during those games. This is a video of Kardell dominating at a camp consisting of all the best. No comparison.

First of all, he's going up against "real talent" in these camps. He is an elite prospect.
Second, his intensity and obvious competitive drive to win every battle is the type of characteristic that separates greats from guys who have the talent but not the mental edge.
Third, the line position is one that lends itself to being nasty and mean. Again, if it's part of what gives you drive and keeps you motivated then there's not a position better suited for it IMO. As long as he keeps his play clean on the field I'm all for his psychological edge. I don't like it in quarterbacks but for a trench guy it's all good.
