Mixed dog breeds live longer, generally healthier lives while most pure breeds get all of the genetic disorders that comes with the breed.
I had a lab golden mix live to 16 while those breeds have a lifespan of 9-12 as a pure bred.
That's like a human getting 20 years added to their life.
