I'd a person inherets money, then croaks, and has no children or other living immediate heirs, will it pass to next of kin, or be seized by the state?

In MS/TN you would have to have no living spouse, children, parents, siblings, aunts/uncles, or any living descendants of those listed before it would pass to the state
