What amazes me is that man has been making refrigerators for over 100 years and in ways they are worse now than before.
It makes no sense to me, other than it has been done purposely by the manufacturers. And mean why make something that will last a lifetime, if you can make something that people will buy and breaks within the decade?

Well the early fridges were super efficient but Anhydrous Ammonia is really bad for you.
Though I still come across people who have working 50's era fridges.
Ovens are another thing that went from being impossible to break to breaks all the time due to safety and convenience add ons.
