Cant really describe FL in broad terms as it is about as diverse as any state in the country.
The panhandle is the south, basically an extension of Alabama and Georgia in Pcola, Destin, Fort Walton, PC, Tallahassee. Interior of Florida is rural, retired, or college depending on were you are. South Florida is a huge mixture of absolutely everything imaginable. People from all over the world except Asia. Seriously. People like me, southern boy that likes the beaches, warm weather and hot women. People from the northeast. Canadians. Europeans. Caribbean people. Significant numbers of people from every country in south America, particularly Columbia, Brazil, and Venezuela. Cubans. Even a significant population of Russians in Sunny Isles.
And you have cheap properties and low incomes in many areas in the interior, and some of the most expensive properties and highest concentrations of wealth in the world in a dozen other communities in south Florida. And you have everything in between as well. Orlando is about as without an identity (besides Disney) as anywhere I can think of. Just a your average American person or family.
Florida is just a mixture of everything. And south Florida is a mixture of basically everything world wide except Asia. The sports bars are awesome during the world cup. Whoever is playing will pack out the sports bars as there are a lot of people from every country here. Last Thurs I was eating lunch at a sports bar literally surrounded by a couple of dozen Russians watching the Russia Saudi Arabia game.
