Depends on the crime.

The people in question have committed what amounts to trespassing. They have crossed a line in some cases a that isn’t even drawn in the sand....seeking asylum from what may or may not be a situation where their life is untenable through no fault of their own. There is a process that has been used for many years that determines if they are deserving of asylum. Almost none are....but there are some who are. The new policy punishes those who are worthy just as harshly as those who aren’t.


Why not simply deport them? If this is where we are as a nation today why not simply turn them away and send them back to Mexico regardless of whether they are worthy of asylum or not? They are Mexico’s problem, not ours, until they cross the border.

If they cross illegally with a child in tow just send them back with the child. It would be much more humane to simply issue a statement that no one, no matter what the situation, will be granted asylum at the border.

In 30 years when there actual terrorist attacks on US soil by people from Mexico and central and South America we be receiving EXACTLY what we are, as we speak, asking for with these actions.

I am not a Christian so I do not have a boogeyman and a magician to lean on. What is being done in our name to human beings at the US - Mexico border tonight is about as despicable as anything we have ever done as a nation. Anyone who supports our actions isn’t remotely a Christian....you are a fricking cruel, hateful a-hole. When it bites us in the arse you will be responsible.....
