Peter could’ve said a lot of things but “a special place in hell” is really really far out there.

Yeah - that is an example of ill-chosen hyperbole - sort of like the MSM/DEM/prog cabal comparing everything Trump does to Hitler.

Way Way Way over the top - beyond the pale - a bridge too far - yada yada yada

It was meant to be. This is about showing people their place. Sometimes that is necessary. Eight years of Obama kowtowing, apologizing, and belittling the US, gave folks like Trudeau a false estimation of self-worth. At some point they need to get slapped with a cold dose of reality.

Trudeau oversees an economy about the size of NewYork's. Even then, a tremendous amount of Canada's state-sized economy piggybacks on the burgeoning success of its southern neighbor. Trudeau made the mistake forgetting that. He made the mistake of assuming an equivalence of strength and status where there is none.

He's like a sissy in the schoolyard picking on the school athlete because he thinks nothing will come of it. Finally, when the athlete has had enough, there is a sudden confrontation. It takes the punk by surprise. It was unanticipated. He's about to get the everloving crap beat out of him. He's reduced to tears and apologies and appropriate humiliation. But with his newly acquired and more realistic perspective, disrespecting the athlete is a mistake he won't make again. Neither will his schoolyard friends.

Say what you'd like about "over-the-top", Mr. Fake Eyebrows had a very bad weekend. Just how bad, time will tell. The fact it was an unforced error made it all the worse.
