I have seen you say this before and with all due respect, I think your opinion would change if you had a position that 40 hours was the norm.
And like I said above, travel wears you down. Working a 50 hour week but being able to walk home/take a train in a big city is completely different than living out of a hotel regardless of hours. Not sure what your situation is but sounds like you have a decent setup.

I don't travel. In the last year I've spent 1 week at training and 2 1 week assignments at client sites. Other than that, 100% in the office. It's not like that for everyone and I see he's going to be in Columbia SC so he probably will. In Dallas we have plenty of people that work pretty much exclusively in the metro plex just because there are so many clients, but it does just depend.
