And I get that too. It is certainly a decision that can be analyzed and I think you can come up with valid arguments both ways. I had no problem with Doyle bunting the winning run to 2nd...but I also would have understood if she had been swinging away.

Pitching to Warren was an egregious mistake that I don't think has an adequate defense. I don't see any argument that could be made for pitching to her there. The only other thing that I could think of was that maybe Torina was afraid of the kid hitting behind Warren because she is the one that homered in the 11th inning of the first game....but I would even counter that by saying that the homer came against a kid who had thrown 200 pitches and I think that was the only hit she had the whole series.

Torina must not have heard me screaming "don't pitch to her!" at the TV when Warren came up...
