I guess you never had the joy of going to a mom and pop video store on your bike at 11 years old. Rent your NES/Genesis games, grab an R rated horror movie and sign it to your parents account.

My best story is my grandparents lived on lake ouchita in Arkansas and only 2 places near there had rental movies, the gas station in Joplin and the mountain harbor marina. My parents wouldn't take me to the store to get a movie so I took my grandfathers canoe and paddled 4 miles to the marina. Guy in the store was so impressed I did that he didn't charge me for the movie and even threw in a drink and candy bar.
