Body cams are such a good thing. They catch civilians when they lie and they also catch cops when they lie. Unfortunately there are still civilians and cops who have not learned yet.

Problem is the cops are smart enough to accidentally turn them off or have some other “malfunction” when they are the ones doing something wrong.

Another benefit is they keep the shady cops in line. Very few people are stupid enough to do something illegal while wearing a body cam.
