California, especially the population centers (which is 95% of "California" in these discussions) are the epitome of a very polarized culture and set of values that many people (not just in LA) across the US abhor

you're a Christian. would you profess support of the Church of Satan over your home church? i bet they have a higher income/education level, lower crime, and all sorts of positive advantages over your church's population. no. why? because it's not within your culture/values
