He really showed some class with the Burrow situation imo. He was torn about the decision for sure. Haskins is so talented and also led a game winning drive when J.T. went down against Michigan which had to factor into the decision. Even though Burrow kinda outplayed Haskins in Spring game to be fair Haskins running ability couldn’t be showcased. Haskins fits what CUM wants At qb more than Burrow. He said Burrow was great Buckeye and said he owes him and answer. Imo he was very selfless because he basically conceded that he’s too good To sit the bench. Some coaches would have seen him as a good backup plan and maybe strung him along. I wander if Burrow asked CUM for advice after the decision? Did Urban think LSU was a good fit? He knows the talent and what a good qb would do for LSU. We sure were quickly approved to tt him. I would like to find out more about the decision and why LSU was such an early player with probably 20 P5 programs that would have loved to get a visit.

Selfless and Urban Meyer do not belong in the same sentence.

I agree with a previous poster everyone said he is crazy. Meyers always has an angle two loses keeps Bama out of the playoffs LSU and Auburn can do the trick . The QB situation at LSU at the present time let’s just say clueless.
Prayers were answered a resarection happened to the program new life , new hope, new identity we have swagger , juice, and above all respect.

Ironically we will take Saban's playoff spot and Burrow will lead us to victory over the Buckeyes.

You are so off base. I’m just gonna say that Urbs can’t stand LSU and really has it out for Les for some reason

Of the two: Burrow is the dual threat, and Haskins is the pocket passer. A lot of folks are getting this backwards.

Both are good, because both can move well and both can throw well. They're similar, but Burrow runs better than Haskins, and Haskins is stronger-armed and is more accurate. Small differences in all those things except arm strength, and that's only because Haskins is, uh, really good.

Both are good. But Burrow is the runner, if either of them are.

(neither of them are really the runner)

I could not agree more. Many coaches would've bullshitted him in an attempt to keep him around as an insurance policy.

That would be due to maybe burrow feeling like he should have won the job. CUM went on record right after spring game saying he owes him an answer. He didn’t have to do that. Maybe I’m wrong but it’s been a quick process and LSU got the first shot pretty much. Idk I’m just so fkin happy he’s a tiger and very thankful CUM let him go instead of saying he would start and/or play a lot just to have a solid back up

Here is Meyer's statement about Burrow: "“I love Joe Burrow,” Meyer said. “He’s a loyal soldier, and I think I owe him an answer. Our staff owes him an answer. And I don’t know what it is right now. [He’s] a guy who gives so much to our program. I believe we’ve given a lot back to him, but you play quarterback to play. He’s a great kid, he’s a very good quarterback. We’ll see what happens.” LINK

Here is what Burrow had to say: "“It would be really hard for me to leave,” Burrow said. “I’ve put so much into this. I’ve put my heart and soul into it. If I were to leave, it would be pretty devastating for me. But at the same time, I would understand how [the coaches] went.”

....

But the junior took his best shot during the spring. After Saturday, he hopes his body of work will be enough to earn the starting role.

“I’ve heard for three years that I’m never going to play here, I’m going to end up transferring, I’m not good enough to play here,” Burrow said. “I just sit back and put my nose to the grindstone and work, and that’s what I’ve done for three years. I think I’ve come a long way.” LINK

CUM has a QB he (and Herman) recruited, he graduated in 3 years, never once screwed up. From that aspect he's everything CUM asked for. I imagine from Meyer's perspective, he earned it.

And I think Studrawa gave Burrow the idea of LSU.

CUM is nothing but a lying sack of shite. Remember the resignation from the
gators because he wanted to be with his kids. Then the next day he rescinds his decision.

Anyway, never could stand him after that. I'm sure his kids got the message as well. All I can say is "welcome Joe Burrow". You played yourself into the starting QB at OSU but still CUM picked another guy...

He did have serious health issues...it's documented by his doctors...And he didn't come back the "next day", he took a year off to be an announcer on one of the networks, forget which one..He took the OSU job because of the Jim Tressel tattogate scandal firing. Nothing wrong with that since he's from Ohio and his mentor was Earle Bruce and OSU was always his dream job.

Seems CUM is all over Haskins, and I think he was right in letting Burrow transfer. Burrow will be better without CUM all over his back while sitting the bench and giving him the run around. Whomever made that acronym, thank you, I've been dying laughing all morning, and everytime I see CUM on the tv, I'll laugh some more.
