Why would they throw in the first?
Even if Cousins was healthy, this trade would be pretty even. Given the fact that he might not come back from this, Porter is worth more. I would think we have to give up a first for this........right?

I don't think so. Cousins is a much bigger name and any team trading for him has talked themselves into him returning at a decent level. If Toronto were in position to make a similar trade, like they magically didn't have Val and Anunoby was 4 years older and on a similar contract to Porter, I'd expect them to give up more than just Anunoby for Cousins. And Toronto could afford to throw in a young player or future asset. Washington is asset poor like the Pels though and you can't squeeze blood from a stone, especially if you don't have a bidding war going.
