I think Washington would be stupid to do it, but i'd be ecstatic if we got Porter for Cousins.

They have to change something and have their $40 million man that they're stuck with to please. Porter for Cousins is the one trade that makes a lot of sense for all 3 sides.

I agree they have to change something, but why are they needing to please Wall? he's not going anywhere anytime soon and they'd laugh in his face if he requested a trade.

How is a Porter for Cousins swap doable?
How closely do the salaries have to match? i would think we are the ones that would need to give up a pick for this to happen.

If they need to be close, then Washington has to include someone else, either Jason Smith or the Morris twin. Smith would be a wash as far as sending them more for him, but if we got Morris i'd imagine we'd need to give them something else in return.

Boogie for Porter is really good for everyone.

Boogie gets to play with a playoff team and a buddy. Washington has to try something different esp after being the 8th seed in a weak East and I'm sure they'd be willing to take a chance on him. And it allows the Pelicans to maintain their current offensive scheme of pace and space while giving us young player that fits fantastically in that. And it finally gives the Pels the SF they've always lacked.

Now I still think Boogie is worth more than just Porter. Even Boogie coming off an achilles injury.

fwiw, I don't want DeRozan. Great player and I think we could make it work but its not an ideal fit next to Jrue since both Jrue and DeRozen are better at driving to the basket as opposed to shooting.
