Northern Ireland is sort of the right example in this case
An identical, real world situation.
What’s is really a shame is that Jews and Arabs lived side by side in the area for centuries without the sort of violence that is a daily occurrence since 1946. Israel is, right or wrong, a bad idea. It is no better an idea than a Muslim State or a Catholic State or a Protestant State. Nations based on into, erance are a bad idea....and religious intolerance is stupendously asinine given that ALL religions at their heart are remnants of a period of sheer and unfettered ignorance in our collective history....there has never been a god and therefore the core of ALL religion is a falsehood....

Because nothing screams "intolerance" in the Middle East more than free elections, multi-ethnicity, religious freedom, gay rights, full rights for women, Free Speech, The Rule of Law, etc, right?
