Cus died years before Tyson unified the Heavyweight belt. By all accounts (from Teddy Atlas and others) Cus was extremely permissive of the troubled teenage Mike and basically spoiled him. Soft disciplinarian
Adult Tyson with tens of millions in his bank account / inflated ego is not listening to Cus.
