It reminds me of the comedian who said he was tired of thanking everyone for their serve. There's a difference between a guy flying a jet off an aircraft carrier, dodging missles and bullets, to deliver bombs, and the guy standing on the flight deck pointing the way, "The battle field is that way!"

Yeah, no.

That "guy on the flight deck pointing the way" can at any time be pressed into duty holding a firearm in the face of an enemy offensive. He's demonstrated his willingness and ability to face ANY enemy possible face to face merely by volunteering himself for duty to the nation.

Thank you to all who are serving or have served regardless of station and duty station. The choice to serve is personal, the point at which that service is performed is not their own choice as members of an organization.
