It was a pretty big lie that actually impacted millions of people. "Read my lips, no new taxes" got a lot of mileage too, because it was a doozy.

Pretty easy to understand why it would be used to dismiss completely irrelevant shite like Stormy Daniels. There really is no hypocrisy in that opinion. Dismissing keep your doctor while displaying outrage about Daniels is the hypocritical side in this case. There's no legitimate argument to the contrary.

Oh I’m not saying that single lie wasn’t bad, way worse than lying about who one slept with years ago. I’m no liberal democrat, and I’m no trump supporter either. But I like to understand where people come from on things and Trump supporters’ sentiment towards the concept of lying is just mind boggling. The response is always the same deflection “but but but Obama! But Hillary!” I don’t care about those hacks but it is so clear to me that we have an unprecedented problem with the current president’s lying, its objectively on a level and frequency not seen by any other president. Maybe some of y’all think these are harmless “white lies” but when the president of the United States has zero credibility that what he speaks is the truth, I think we have problems. That doesn’t mean you can’t support the man or his mission, I just think this should be discussed truthfully without all the damn emotions (on both sides) and standard political deflection.
