The reason I give them a slight edge over the peak Jordan Bulls as the best team of my lifetime, is their ability to morph into the Beautiful Game Spurs mode. What's overlooked often with the '86 Celtics squad is the great passing.
The Bulls and Jordan would beat you one on one--but the fully integrated 5 man team game was not to its strength.
Still, its a fun exercise to wonder who was the best team of a lifetime.
