Vanderbilt was much better in 2015 than they were in 2014 when they won the championship.

Baseball definitely is get hot at the right time sport.

Luckily LSU hasn’t peaked yet, maybe they won’t at all who knows.

Vanderbilt was better in 2007 when they were the #1 overall seed in the tournament, but they lost at home in the regionals. David Price, maybe you've heard of him , gave up a walk off homerun to send Vanderbilt to the offseason

Florida was the #1 team for much of 2012 year and earned the top national seed before going 0-2 in Omaha.

In 2013 Florida went 29-30 overall and 14-16 in conference.

2014-#2 National seed
2015-#4 National seed
2016-#1 National seed
2017-#3 National seed

All programs are not immune to having down years. What’s my point? O’Sullivan needed years and years of getting to Omaha before he got his first title.

Would he be a great hire for LSU? Absolutely. Would he win multiple titles at LSU in a 10 year span? Doubtful
