I knew a woman who smoked from age 13 to 95 (two packs a day) - died of dementia.
They asked the Queen Mother how she lived to be 101 and she said, "because I drank a pint of Gin a day."
At Noon she'd have her first drink of the day...then 4 glasses of wine, then a Martini, more Gin and then some Champagne.

25 years ago my mother did Hospice for at the time the oldest living person in Alabama.
She ate 4 slices of bacon, 2 eggs over easy and toast every morning.
She smoked as well. Didn't GAF because she had lived her life.
Her grandson was the army guy that delivered the daily death reports in "We We're Soldiers"
