What is your point? You are talking about the border states like Maryland and Missouri that were too big of pussies to actually secede from the union. They were exempt from the emancipation proclamation until the war was over. Robert E Lee took a knee and surrendered to Grant on 4/12/1865 and the 13th Amendment was ratified on 12/6/1865 making slavery illegal anywhere in the U.S. So about 8 months of legal slavery continued in that time period...so what? Are you making some sort of pro-slavery argument?

You were going off on some rant about how the evil traiterous slave states deserved to be fought because of slavery.

I just wanted to remind you slavery was still legal in the north for the duration of the war and then some.
