dumb question. players are most definitely responsible for their execution. but some plays do not work because the defense stopped them. it could be because the wrong play was called because it was anticipated because of coaching tendencies and then it's really the coaches fault.

when your offense cannot make one yard given several tries on the goal line, you probably need better players. the coach is responsible for knowing how weak they are and should try a different play tho.

so who's burden does it fall on more? dumb question
