You may be joking but when Syrian forces built up to go after ISIS in Deir Ezzoir area we threatened them and kept them from advancing saying we were worried about SDF being attacked. Syria and Russia had made it clear they were gonna go after ISIS. It’s not that our “leaders” don’t want ISIS defeated, they just don’t want Syria defeating them. Basically, our leaders are shitty people.

SDF made the the breaking of the encirclement at Deir Ezzor possible. There was legitimate tension between the SAA and SDF at that time.

SDF struggles to win the country side of Deir Ezzor and still has a big area controlled by ISIS they can’t break through. SAA captured most of the cities and strategic areas in DE province. There is a small sliver of area east of excuse my spelling but I think Al Bukmal?? or something like that. ISIS had been shelling and doing surprise attacks on SAA and Syrian army made an attempt to control that small area just east of Euphrates river but America decided that Syrian land east of Euphrates river is no longer Syrian.

Look up the air attack in September 2016 where we bombed the syrian forces holding out in Deir Ez-Zor and you will see after we killed over 100 syrian soldiers that ISIS gained the territory needed to completely lay seige and about split it in half. On that day we were the ISIS air force.
