For perspective add up what you spend a day on things that you could do yourself. Bag lunch instead of eating out, make your coffee at home or office instead of the 3-4 bucks at Starbucks and multiply those by how many days you work a year. It's great that you make a lot of money, but that really adds up. In a lot of cases that's a good retirement contribution that's being pissed away needlessly. And don't even get me started on how unhealthy it is to eat out every day.

I measure my value of time in what it costs me versus what I generate in revenue. This is the primary reason that I pay people to do work on my house. Can I do most of what they're doing? Absolutely yes. However, I generate many multiples more an hour in revenue if I focus on my business.
The one thing I do on a workday is to make my shots of espresso at home in the morning before heading in. Lunch is a getaway for a half hour or so. I don't want to eat with or be around my workers so I break away for lunch.

In that case, I spend a lot of money I could be saving on golf every weekend, but you know what? I enjoy playing golf and my retirement is in good shape so frick off.
Worry about your goals and finances and let me worry about mine, baw.

I can't live like that. I enjoy being social and lunch is part of that. I'd be miserable if I ate a sandwich at my desk every day.
