Yep = been saying that for decades now.
Public shame for being unable to care for yourself is one of the missing ingredients in today's fukced up society.
Hell, people even openly discuss the ways to scam 'the system' - there was a time people would go hungry and work 2 or 3 jobs before they would even consider getting the 'govt cheese.' It was not something one wanted, and worked their asses off to get away from.
But we were such troglodytes 'back then.' = we only sent men to the moon, invented the internet and did the ground work for the tech advances we enjoy today.

wanna do the negatives of that generation now? let's not act like it was all peaches and cream... boomers have a very grandiose view of their standing in the history of America, and they really shouldn't....
