shitty parents are the number ONE cause of all the problems in the world. We should take great pains - and expense - to get kids away from shitty parents.

I agree with you. Was playing devils advocate in saying maybe they just hit a joint someone offered and now they’re liable for 25 days with thc in their system. But if you love your children enough to do whatever it takes to feed them, staying completely off drugs to get the help you need should be a priority.

the problem with your premise is "shitty" is non-qualitative and subjective... your line of demarcation may be lower than mine, which may be lower than someone else's....
