Thoughts on Liberty Mutual for car insurance?

Trying to get a better rate for my two 2007 sedans (around 150k miles each).
Currently paying $120/month with Farmers for full UM, medical, roadside assistance, and collision/comprehensive with a $500 deductible each.
Liberty Mutual quoted $92/month for the same coverage but claims it's a discounted price. I've searched far and wide and can't find anything about them screwing me over with this discounted price. I turned down their RightTrack option (save up to 30% if you let them monitor your driving), so the $92 doesn't reflect that as a discount.

Damn, that's high.

It will never be 30%. Best case, typically, is about 8%.

I would never allow for a company to put a device in my vehicle to assess my driving habits and performance. I've read they dock you for driving too much or driving past a certain time at night. They could offer up to a 50% discount and I'd turn it down.

Really? What about $90/month? Could I do better?

In Louisiana that's very cheap.

I say that because I've got two newer vehicles (one a 2017) under full coverage, same deductibles, plus roadside and towing and I'm paying about $155. In reality , what you're paying might not be bad. Are we talking luxury branded sedans?

Are you hit harder because of flooding issues or what? Mine has gone up every year due to "statewide increases", but it started at like $107. And I had two speeding tickets when I enrolled years ago.

No. Just an average Honda and Nissan.
Perfect driving record.
*In Alabama BTW.

Why pay for collision/comprehensive for 10 year old cars with 150k? What is each car's kelly blue book? Maybe 6K?

I would definitely shop around. I feel like you can certainly do a little better. I might also agree with the last poster about whether or not you need comp coverage on these vehicles.
Have you tried GEICO? Las time I shopped around, I checked pretty much everyone I've ever heard of and they were considerably cheaper than the others. Also had two claims three months apart back in 2016 due to a hit-and-run in a parking lot and then someone rear-ending my wife's car shortly thereafter. They were superb in their handling of the claims and didn't hit me with any surcharges moving forward.

Less than $6k.
Insurance rates drop down to $60/month without the coverage. If someone slams into me, will I receive any money from them if it's their fault?

You should. But, based on my statement above about what happened to us, we were hit twice in three months and got nothing from the at-fault party due to them leaving the scene or being uninsured (which is more common than you think).

Liberty Mutual has a lot of upfront discounts on the 1st term end up dropping off or phasing out on the renewals...at least from what I've been told. If that happens, you can always shop around again at renewal.

I don't write for Liberty Mutual but I do write for their subsidiary Safeco and they also have Right Track. On my personal policy, I got 18%. Average tends to fall between 12-15%. I'd reconsider it if I were you. Its only 90 days and the discount stays on permanently as long as you keep the policy. If you know what the Right Track triggers are, its not hard to get 15% or better. 7 miles per second accelerating or decelerating and driving between 12-4 AM.

I have Liberty Mutual, have had them for about 25 years now. Every year, my default rate goes up, I call my agent, and he drops it back down.
I have 3 vehicles, 2-2016's and a 2014, and I pay about $105/month.
I also have my homeowners with them.

LM is notorious at getting you in at a low rate and then jacking it up at renewal. But, they do offer an annual policy which is nice.
Your obviously not in Louisiana since you have Farmers, but either of those would be great rates for anywhere in LA.

I have Liberty Mutual for home and auto. I've been with them for 3 years now. My wife and I did their safe driving program for 90 days and got 16% off.

All of these non Louisiana rates are making me jealous. shite our rates are high.

What coverage is he removing/reducing or deductible is being increased? Agents don’t control what the premiums are. We can only modify premium by adjusting the coverage options and limits or deductible

My coverage hasn't changed. I do online renewals, and my rate goes from around $1250/year to about $1500 or so every year online. I call him and he says "let me see what I can do", he calls me back a couple of days later, and has it back, although it might go up $5-10, which I accept. No coverage changes. We've done this for years.
Like I said, I have my homeowners with them. I also pay once for the entire year, which I think saves me maybe $100.
I just went through this a couple of months ago. I did get quotes from State Farm and another agency, and one was about $100 lower, so he adjusted to that, and I paid.
I'm sure there are lower rates out there, but I've had good luck with LM, so I'm loyal... Annually...

I can't speak for LM, but I did this with Progressive a few years back and was very conservative for the 90 day period and I believe it was a 12% return or some such. YMMV.
