I wonder if we will get the story on what happened to the REAL Hickey? Looks like the Hickey on the show stole his identity somehow?

As soon as ol dude turned around and Hickey and the other guy weren't on the top of the hill I knew something was up. Wonder how he is going to play it off? Tell the rest of the crew that those two were attacked?

Yeah, per the preview for next week, it shows him saying something like "These people will never be our allies" or whatever. So I assume he will play it as they got attacked by the Inuit and he was the only one who made it out alive. I don't get his motives though, and I hope that we get some glimpse into it. Him doing that would basically be dooming everyone else (assuming the Eskimos could help them get enough food and whatnot, if they were interested in doing so).

And I agree that it seems like either this isn't the real Hickey, or it is him and he lied about his experiences onboard ships. Another alternative is that he was sent there to sabotage things somehow. And I guess you could argue that one possibility is that he has gone mad due to the lead poisoning as well. Who knows.

I wonder if the Tuunbaq is done now that they've started out toward shore, or if it will come into play again. Although I imagine as long as Lady Silence is with them, it is in play.

And I agree with with the "impending doom" sentiment above. It's eerie knowing the fate of this expedition before the show starts. Even if you didn't know anything about the story, you can definitely tell where things are heading. I'm interested to see how it plays out...this is a fantastic show.

There's something to be said about a show that begins with the viewer already knowing that everyone dies. Even though that "mystery" is solved, it's still incredible to see the individual stories of the characters. It's actually kind of refreshing to not have the "who will survive?" thing hovering over you the whole series.
