"Progressive" is a term made up by liberals because "liberal" has become used as a pejorative effectively by the right wing entertainment complex.
The complex caught on and now convince right wingers that progressives are somehow worse/further left than liberals.
It's nothing more than a Luntz-ian game of language.

Absolutely not. It's an entirely different concept and is the more authoritarian arm of the left wing.
