Well that’s just sad; that you would change your plans because of what a few people wrote on a political board.
But I never could figure out how you were going to make this trip work anyway.
Your plan to visit a vast area that has little public transportation without the ability to drive did not add up for me. And you seemed to be on a tight budget and could not afford the more expensive centrally located hotels.
I was curious what got you so upset so I read the debates on the political board. Seemed tame to me compare to the jawing that goes on in The House of Commons; would have thought you brits were tougher than that; stiff upper lip and all that bloody rot.
If you ever do make it down south come back to the board and give us a report on any intense dislike you encounter simply because you are from another country; aka xenophobia. I reckon (I know brits say reckon cause I’ve been watching Midsomer Murders) it will be a short report.
By the way, based on Midsomer Murders, y’all are really nasty to each other in those villages; not to mention all the killin’s. There are usually at least two per episode.
Looking on the bright side, I expect it will be really cold in Canada in Oct/Nov and there should be lots of snowflakes falling. You should feel right at home.

I was going to combine public transit with the Uber.
I was not really planning to go into the wilderness apart from a tour to Grand Canyon from Vegas. It looked doable on paper.
And all the hotels I had planned were in pretty good areas in each city. I am not sure where you got the idea that they weren’t.
