My uncle has played a few rounds there. He was the CFO of a major company. He said the dining experience is almost as surreal as the golf. Rarely anyone on the course. Although still amazing, it’s not the same as during the tournament due to the azalea not in bloom. Strict rules on cell phones, they cannot leave the locker rooms, even members must adhere to that rule. They were the only group in the dining room every time he went, yet the kitchen and dining room were fully staffed like a full restaurant. He is retired now, so the odds of me playing are zero, but he has gotten me tickets to the tourney on 2 occasions.

My dad played a few years back. Played two rounds. First round they played form the member's tees. Obviously it was still hard, but he said he was still able to hit shots. The greens were still brutal, but he remembered being like "for Augusta National, that wasn't that bad". The next day they played the tournament tees. Whole different story . Can't remember the hole but he hit his approach shot in, landed it on the green and was feeling good. Long putt for birdie, but a putt none the less. Caddie tells him he will get a best a double. My dad is pretty shocked by this. Gets double
One cool thing, they had a camera and were able to take some pictures while they played. Mainly just on the bridge and stuff, nothing to really hold up play. Well, their caddy took the camera out without them knowing and took hundreds of pictures of them playing. They didn't see them until they got home and went through the camera. Was really cool of him. Some really good shots. They made a book out of them and wanted to send a copy of it and a thank you letter to the caddy they had. Call up Augusta National the Tuesday of Masters week, get transferred over to the pro shop, and they answer the phone like it is any other golf course on any other day. Told them where to send it and to who's attention. Pretty cool.
