Naw, we'd just use Powerbomb's trend and set our minds at ease.

However, I'm sure your buddies over at DU are melting down sufficiently for you and your clan.

You obviously don’t care if that’s his plan. So, tell me what makes trump different from democrats if he will waste tax money on an unnecessary pet project?

You mean like this?

quote:

Despite the president's efforts to stem the flow of illegal immigrants, the new numbers rival those of the border crises of 2013 and 2014 under the Obama administration, when thousands were detained along the Mexican border.

So, he's no improvement from Obama? That has to be disappointing considering that was a YUGE part of his campaign.

I said almost makes one think then went on to explain why Trump would never do such a thing. Since you obviously think he would, tell me who the conspiracy theorist is

Controls? How many votes are needed again? I have noticed the alt-leftists repeat the control lie/narrative over and over.

It's kind of funny.

How about the truth? Which party holds the current majority by a small margin?

we're wrong guys. smart people like dignan, powerman and boomhuer have showed up to point out trump actually wants as many illegals in the country as possible.

Wrong. I said Trump wants to build a wall so that he doesn’t fail to both build a wall and keep his promise to repeal Obamacare and replace it with an affordable plan to cover everyone.

These numbers would indicate that Trump hasn't strengthened our borders since taking office.

I think its fair to say if keeping them out was going to 'making america great again', then he is 'making america worse than it already is.'

but hey, at least companies got a tax break

So, Trump campaigns on being tough on immigration and securing our borders, yet border crossings are up over 200% since he took office?

I wouldn't have thought this with how tough he talks on immigration.

It SAYS ATTEMPTS, D.A. NOT, that border crossings are up over 200%.

Did you even read the article or look at the data? Border crossings are not "up 200%." The hill took 2 months of data on crossing apprehensions / inadmissables (March 2018 and March 2017) and compared them, which doesn't give you the full picture. March 2017 was also conveniently one of the lowest months in crossings since Trump took office. It would have made more since to take the average crossing per month in 2017 and compared it to March 2018, or take an average of crossings in March over the years and compare that number.

If you look at the chart, you will also notice that crossings tend to go up sharply in March almost every year for some reason. That could be due to weather?

Also, if you look at the trend, it looks like 2018 is on pace with every other year besides 2017, which had the Trump effect. It appears you are trying to argue that border crossings are growing at an exponential pace, but in reality, they are going more back to what they were before Trump took office, which does not help your argument. The argument was that border crossings were already so low that there's no point in a wall and your rebuttal paints a false narrative that border crossings are skyrocketing.

FYI I am for the wall, but you need to take a closer look at the points you are trying to make before making a fool of yourself.
