Considering a job opportunity. Looking for any recent Intel on off base housing and spouse job opportunities. I'd be going as a civilian gs 15.

You will love S W Fla., do you play golf? 160 courses within 50miles of Naples. I have a Golf Tournament that supports Veterans, we serve Gumbo, Etouffee, Jambalaya. A nice crawfish boil also.

I lived there for 3 years.
I wrote a long and informative post to help. Then I realized your a card carrying liberal Trump hating Nazi cock sucker so I edited my post to tell you to Eat a Dick.

I hope you go over there and realize what makes America great and what regulates Europe to second place. That is coming from someone who loved the time I spent there.

I was stationed in Vicenza, Italy, for a couple of tours with the Airborne Combat Team up there ... but spent a lot of time in Napoli (get used to that) both while on active duty and many years since with my wife who worked for Ansaldo STS until just recently.

Napoli has changed, a lot, over the years ... and for the worse. Large Muslim immigrant population/problem there now that, when combined with the camorra, has turned the city into an even worse shite show than it already was.

We lived there, off and on, for years ... but will never go back except at high speed while traveling from Rome on our way to Silerno and the Almalfi Coast.

You couldn't pay me to live there again.

The NSA is very decent though, on post, with most of the big carriers and cruisers docking there at least twice a year. So, with that, comes a few rowdy districts that cater to the Shore Leave navy crowd.

It's probably one of the, if not the, most disgusting big cities in Europe IMHO.

Totally corrupt and run by far left Socialists and the Napoli mafia.

Not even Italians like Napoli.

For work everyday I would not recommend. Weekend get away yes. Sorrento and Positano are good stops on the coast.

Is your job at Capodichino or Support Site ?

I'm not sure where it is located. I was contacted for an internal reassignment but don't have many details yet. Sort of deciding whether to even entertain it.

Naples is okay, I spent about 2 weeks there so I’m no expert. The good news is you’re not far from some very beautiful parts of Italy. I also remember the trains were always late

This was pre-migrant. I’m sure it’s all sorts of fricked now there. Also the mafia comment is 100% true. We got stopped by 2 S classes on the way to Salerno because we were driving an identical car to someone who I assume they were looking for.
