Logically, that makes sense, but the mindset of a cheater is one of extreme selfishness. They want to have their cake and eat it, too. In their mind, they provide everything that their SO needs, and it's the SO that is lacking, thus driving their compulsion to cheat (it's an entitlement issue). Of course, this is bullshite, because an unsatisfying relationship is often reflective of both partners.
