Yeah and what if the mother had complications after delivery? May make it really hard for her to recover AND look after the baby all on her own.


If a company is offering this to their male employees...there shouldn't be any penalties to their job if they decide to use this benefit.

Yall are now adding a bunch of WHATIF statements to a very broad comment about a NORMAL birth.

@ you for thinking a man will come out 100% free from taking 8 weeks off.

I know right now if I had to take 8 weeks off it would be damn near impossible. We already have to hire 4 contractors for the amount of work we have going on.

Legally they can't use that as a means to get rid of you. If, they allegedly fire you for taking a fully offered benefit, lawsuit in waiting, it was more than that and you were on a short leash in the first place.
