I guess the better question would have been, “is it possible to make vibrating jig that runs straight, with a split ring between the jig and blade?” That pretty much answers my question. The eye you are talking about, is it parallel or perpendicular to the hook?

perpendicular to the hook. split ring to blade. clip on blade for line tie. nothing to it.
