Something that has happened with the tv shows on hoarding is that family members have found they are not alone. So many have lived in isolation because they couldn't or were forbidden to bring friends home to play.
There are some forums out there where family members exchange horror stories and also talk about support groups.
As one of the cleaners said, "We're all just five bad decisions from hoarding."
I find that watching Hoarders makes me want to clean out closets and cabinets.
