There is the CBI tourney. I think it has 16 teams.

Surely, LSU is ranked in the top 116 ?

The NCAA tournament isn't the top 68 teams, either. Because of automatic bids to weaker conferences, like the Patriot League, the SWAC, and the MEAC, the 13-16 seeds in the NCAA are likely to have a worse RPI than most of the NIT.
LSU is in the NIT, but I'm expecting a 3 or 4 seed. That should get us a home game, unless the PMAC is scheduled for a tractor pull or something similar.
