True but there is no guarantee it doesn’t take ____at pick number 27 a year or two to become a real difference maker if ever.
Would you rather them take a qb they feel very confident will be our guy for 15 years after Drew, or take another guy that they aren’t as high on?
Depending on what they’ve discussed with Brees we may be in a situation where we’re trying to win now and transition to a new guy while still being in a position to win.

Except this doesn't really mean anything. How many QBs have been drafted in the first round since Drew came to NOLA who are no longer in the league? I'm pretty sure the teams that drafted them felt very confident about their choices too.
