Is it just me or does every thread involving 9th Green At 9 end up this way? He consistently devolves into a sniveling poster the moment someone comments about his game.

That wasn't an assumption it was an exaggeration. You've lost significant yardage and your first thought was to blame the most used ball in golf (one you mostly play with) as "not feeling it anymore." If you're having this much trouble when people comment on you on a message board you should brace yourself for when you break those Volviks out in front of people.
