Our church is contemplating arming one or two of our ushers. We have an ex-Marine and an ex-gunny sgt from the Army who have volunteered to carry during the services.

We already do this. Each Sunday we have 4 or 5 deacons carrying, and a command center where cameras are constantly monitoring the grounds.
