I don't have to pass a background check when I purchase a firearm?

Odd...then what was that I had to pass when I bought my last firearm?

You didn't buy it from an individual, did you? You bought it from a licensed seller? That's why you had to pass a check. It's crazy that there are loopholes you could exploit to get around that even if you're ineligible to purchase a gun.

It's universal. All people buying a weapon from a FFL dealer have to pass one.

It's not universal when not all people buying a weapon have to pass one. Without condition.

This doesn't address shall issue laws in any way.

You're thinking of different terminology. Under Brady, after 3 days any incomplete background check is considered a pass and the gun can be transferred. That's dumb.

If you're not denied, what's the problem?

You would be denied given more time/resources but you are sold the gun anyway. That's the problem.

That isn't an explanation.

It was necessary, though.

PSA is a large volume seller.

But not the largest.

So then you're form the banning of all semi-automatic weapons right?

Of course not. But I am for making them all a little harder to get, and for tracking them.

You didn't answer my question.

I did answer your question.

And a reminder - a registration system does not infringe on the 2nd amendment. You're welcome!

and if the background check later comes back as prohibited an ATF agent located the person and either has them transfer the gun to someone that can legally own it or picks it up...

So sorry, you aren't going to get to track them...

So universal then.

Bureaucratic incompetence isn't my problem.

See above.

Still not an explanation.

The largest of what? Details please.

Nothing you proposed would have stopped Cruz from getting his weapons, or the myriad of other shooters. And neither would tracking them.

Interesting you had no comment on my question about what happens when I refuse to register my firearms.
