That is pretty impressive considering that state has been a financial black hole for the past two decades it seems like.

Balanced the budget by raising yet again taxes. That is great but Brown should start focusing on making California more livable for the middle class and business. How about paying on some tax cuts and business incentives to create jobs.

This is one of those lies that conservatives tell themselves to convince themselves that any and all liberal policies are terrible economically. California is one of the wealthiest states in the country (per capita) and a center of some of the biggest industries in the country. While many of the most conservative states are the very poorest in the country and net negative contributors to federal revenue.
