So we pretty much all agree that the last time the actual best movie won Best Picture was 2007 with No Country for Old Men, right

Thanks for listing all the winners in the OP so I didn't have to go searching for them. I have actually seen 2 of the films among the winners you had listed, so I guess it was a good year for film.

Best performance I saw last year was James McAvoy in Split. I'm glad Gary won but his performance, nor any of the others nominated, were better than McAvoy's

If I had known that there was a controversy with Ryan Seacrest causing the actresses to refuse to be interviewed by him, I'd have watched the Red Carpet portion.
