re: Report: Louisiana youth are too poorly educated, overweight, criminal to serve in military

My recruiter told me it was depressing working as a recruiter in Lafayette. He had one guy that tried to join with a score of 6 on his ASVAB. I honestly do not know how that is possible ,but the kid was from Northside. He told me that many people who expressed interest in joining were way too heavy, were barely literate, or just had to too much baggage which I don't know how that is possible cause I have seen the Army take in less than stellar people. This was 15 years ago and holy shite I just realized I am getting old...
